UPDATE: Invisible People was part of Berlin’s Boulevard Festival September 3 & 4. Hosted by UFAFabrik , it was performed by members of companies from London and Berlin including Golden Gorki’s from the Gorki Theater and Theater der Erfahrungen . This pan London-Berlin collaboration included live Skype performances by housebound people in London & Berlin thanks to support from Dr. Spires and London South Bank Universities Department of health and Social Care.
Initiated to celebrate the EU Day of Solidarity Between Generations. Created through workshops with support form Venice University Languages Department and Berlin’s Theatre of Experience . Invisible People is 3rdthought’s small-scale, one-to-one show where a poem, a story, a scene, a conjuring trick or a tip is performed face to face on payment of a coloured token. No technical support is needed and the show draws on the growing repertoire of the 3rdthought company. It does not impose itself on an event and is a perfect, intelligent entertainment for conferences, outdoor festivals, theatre foyers, launches and parties.
3rdthought toured ‘Invisible People’ for the Mayors’ Olympic Open Festival (11 boroughs in 11 days) followed by a week on the Edinburgh International Book & Festivals doing an average of 120 shows a day raising money for Great Ormond St Children’s Hospital & Edinburgh Sick Kids Foundation.
Other Invisible People expeditions have been to St Pancras International Eurostar, Purbeck Festival, Brixton Windmill, Baring Foundation conference/launch, Primrose Hill Festival and Royal Botanic Gardens.
