Report on 10th Rough Cricket Season
April – September 2014

10 official games and one fundraising tournament were
posted some spontaneous, flash-mob type events occurred.

In summary:

  • 11 games were completed in 8 different locations.
  • 100 playing appearances were made by 32 players (4 female, 3 under 16, 5 over 60) making the average attendance well over 9 which is yet another improvement.
  • The Tournament on June 30th attracted 20 players and raised £200 for Magic Bus and its programme of teaching cricket to girls in India.

There were many champagne moments during the year:
Andrew’s left-handed catch behind the wicket at Ruskin Park on June 05, Tim’s run out at the Tournament at Belair on June 30, Dave’s nearly hat trick in Dulwich and many more.

Initial plans for 2015 and the 11th year of Rough Cricket:
15 games plus a tournament are planned. First fixture on St George’s Day 23 April.
